Márton Pósfai is an Assistant Professor at CEU. As for his DYNASNET work, he studies physical networks - networks where nodes and links are physical objects embedded in three-dimensional space. Physicality imposes strong constraints on the system, such as the fact that objects cannot overlap and the cost of building extended connections. The goal of the project is to understand how these constraints affect the structure, evolution and function of physical networks.
