Federico Battiston is an Assistant Professor in Network Science at Central European University.
As for DYNASNET project, he is interested in higher-order representations of networked systems such as hypergraphs and simplicial complexes, and how higher-order interactions lead to new physics and collective behavior in dynamical processes such as epidemic spreading and synchronization
He works on reviewing the mathematical formalism to describe higher-order structures, studied the mathematical representations to describe simplicial complexes and hypergraphs. He worked on understanding the empirical patterns and the temporal evolution of higher-order networks.
